Finding the light and the laughter in this dark world

Today's world is slowly being shadowed by the dark cruel bitterness, and turmoil of the last days. Satan is strong clouding our judgement, enhancing our fears, and plaguing our minds with thoughts of woe and defeat. And slowly smothering the light of joy and happiness, but we must stand tall and have courage to keep fighting. There IS light, there IS hope, and there IS happiness! I think of it this way...picture if you will a dark and stormy sky. You can't see any sun or hope so to speak, but sometimes if we wait and are patient the clouds break a little and those thin rays of light, like a beacon, descend from above diminishing darkness for a blissful moment, and creating hope and light. We are like those rays of light descending from above in this dark world. We can create hope, light, happiness, and laughter. We can better our communities by serving, or by sharing our light and knowledge with others. We can make people smile and laugh when there doesn't seem to be any hope at the moment. We can better our neighborhoods. Get to know our neighbors and love one another. I love to make people smile and laugh. Its my favorite pass time. I love a good joke, a funny memory, a funny movie quote, or just that simple smile when you've made someones day. I don't need to be acknowledged for the good things I do. I do them out of the kindness of my heart. I do them to uplift another. The Savior when he walked this earth never boasted of his good works but walked as an example among men. He showed us what it truly meant to love. Though many persecuted Him, spat on Him, and crucified Him he still called out "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." This world is falling into dark times and we must be those rays of light and hope walking like examples and spreading our light like wild fire. Do not allow the darkness to swallow us. Find the light of our Savior and share it however you can. Be the beacon of guidance through the dark. I testify that if we do these things we can spread light and hope to many. Stand tall, carry on moving forward finding joy in all things, and do good in your communities, your neighborhoods, and your homes.
