Tales of the Library Adventures book one, Alexander and Nicholas battle for Kingdom Lydia

Blast!!! I did it again, I promised to stay in touch with my writing and once again I failed. Wow. Well lets just say I was doing a lot of writing to please my many followers. ;) I have been working on a three book novel its a little slow trying to figure out characters and such, but its coming along. Here is a very first look at what I am working on. Keep in mind, it is a rough copy, a work in process.

"Alright boys time for bed. You're parents will be home any minute."
Aw come on Jen, just five more minutes. We just reached level eight on Mario Brothers," Alexander groaned. His dark brown eyes were still focused on the television set. He held a Nintendo controller in his hands and every time Mario jumped on screen, Alexander made a jolting motion with his body, thinking by some psychological stance this would help Mario successfully reach the other side of the pit without harm. An extra boost of power.
"I wanna see him beat Mario," Nicholas said. He held his dinosaur blanket in a balled fist and jutted out his lower lip in a sad plea. His curly dark brown hair, like his brother Alexander's, was a bit tousled from the bath the boys finished and hour ago. He wouldn't allow his wet curls to be groomed so now they lay scrunched against his head like a used mop. His big round deep green eyes drooped into the pleading puppy dog beg. It was enough to make anyone succumb to its power.
"Alright ten more minutes then its up to bed, both of you. Got it? Alex only nodded making his dark chocolate curls bob on his head. He Hated babysitters and being told what to do. He was eight years old, enough to be independent and grown up, like his father. Why Jen chose not to take notice, he'd never understand. So he used his talents to make her miserable. He knew she'd give their parents a good report. Babysitters like the money no matter how good or bad the children are, they are drawn back by simple greed. What was the saying his dad always use to say...oh yeah, greed never made anyone happy. And he made sure Jen earned every penny of that money.
