Here is another screenplay I am writing. It is also in the rough draft stages so please be kind...I am working on it. I am also working on the novel, and you can read a bit of that as well in my blog. I just thought I would start the screenplay and see how well it goes. ENJOY! Sorry about the stupid formatting it won't let me fix it. Hope you can read it.
The Secret Storm
EXT. RAINY AFTERNOON - GRAVEYARD
Its a dark gray morning. A light drizzle falls on the graveyard creating a misty fog around the tombstones. JEFFREY COOPER, a young man in his mid 20's with dark scruffy hair and green eyes.
He holds a black umbrella and stands in front of an angel headstone holding a single red rose.
His shoulders are a little hunched in sadness and his face is solemn, but a hint of a hidden smile plays against his facial features as if he is remembering a happy memory.
JEFFERY COOPER (V.O.)
They say time bridges the gap of death in ones life... if you choose to move forward, forgetting what once was... to just a faded memory in the back of your mind. (Pauses) They're wrong. Every memory has a story...
He slowly bends down and sets the rose on the grave.
...And every story, has a purpose.
EXT. HIGHWAY - AFTERNOON
A silver car rounds a bend through a canyon of red rock. There is a stretch of open desert and mountain ranges. Looks like Utah. There are dark clouds threatening to storm above the mountain ranges.
Some lightning is seen in the distance.
INT. CAR - AFTERNOON
JEFFREY COOPER sits in the drivers seat watching the road and pensivly thinking.
JEFFREY COOPER (V.O.)
The name's Jeffrey Cooper, the traveling man. I go where ever the road takes me, seems to be my sanctuary from the storms of life.
On the rearview mirror there is a necklace with a wedding ring swaying on the chain.
You'll never know where you'll end up or who you'll meet, or the experiences you'll share. Its unpredictable.
The passanger seat has a red worn journal, a laptop, and some other odds and ends.
Someone once told me that the open road starts with adventure and ends with a story. They were right. I know a road that the hand of fate lead me to, aiming me straight into the eye or adventure. Where I met a delicate soul that touched mine. A story I cherish. Her road, is the road I come back to in thought, in dreams, in reality. It's the place I call home. Her courage changed my life. Her story, is the story of courage to fight the unknown. A story of a secret storm.
I don't know why it posted it like that. It was just fine when I was typing it so please forgive me for the stupid way it posted this.
